Transfer ownership of Aspire program

Post by lenwardus »

How do you transfer the ownership of Aspire to another person?

I found someone who bought the program and is closing their business and
wants to sell the program.

Thanks

I don't want to pay for a program and not have it work.

So I emailed vectric to see if licensing is transferable.

Hello Mikie,

To answer your questions,

1. Vectric do allow license transfers. We need to contact the original owner to verify the position and to cancel their original license, so a new license can be issued to the new owner. There's a $50 charge to cover the administration costs associated with validating and transferring a license.

2. The Trial version will allow you to save toolpaths for the Evaluation files supplied with the software so these can be run / tested on your own CNC machine.

The Trial versions of the Vectric software products will open your own designs, calculate and preview toolpaths, but not allow these to be saved as CNC code.

Files created and saved using the Trial version cannot be opened on another PC using a full version of the software. This means you can't design using the trial version and send the file to a licensed user to obtain the toolpath code.

Let me know if you have any questions - (sales at vectric dot com)

Len,

You emailed this question to me earlier today and I replied immediately.

Please check your email for full details and let me know if you
haven't received the email or have any questions.

For anyone who is interested - Vectric will transfer software licenses after
verifying with the original owner that they are no longer using the software
license. There is a $50 license transfer charge. When this has been paid
the new owner receives a new license code and the old license is deactivated.

Important note - The new license is authorized to free software upgrades
based on the date that the original owner purchased the licence. For
example, if the original license was purchased in January 2009, this date
is used to calculate the free upgrade period. If Vectric release a new
version in December 2010, the new owner will not be entitled to a free
upgrade because the 12 month period expired in January 2010.
