Just a couple of projects.

Post by AngelicDiablo »

These are a couple of things I did this past week and am donating for a church auction that's happening next month. First is a rosary box that is carved out of 3/4" cherry. It has a carved rose on the front, which comes on the Aspire DVD, and the sides are a basket weave pattern. The rose is fairly small and I used a 1/16" BN to carve it out in a single pass.

The second project I did, for the same auction, is the "Ornate Cross" from the VectorArt3D website. It's about 20"X16" and was carved out on 4/4 cherry. Roughed with a 1/4" EM and finished with 1/8" BN. It took about 6 hours @ 3ips with a 8% stepover. And it turned out really nice. Add this design to your collection if you don't have it yet! http://www.vectorart3d.com/store/index. ... l&ID=44041

Thanks, AD

Wow these look really nice!

They have a very nice glow to them. What did you use to finish the wood?

I see your making excellent use of the weave pattern on the sides.
