Here are a couple of signs I made for a customer. They wanted them left unfinished so they could use the stain/paint that matched the house exactly. I like a job when no finishing is required . The signs came out perfect. Once again Vcarve Pro made this a snap to complete.

I know what you mean about the finishing Damian. Finishing is an art unto itself. Those signs you could just hang up like they are, they look good.

Well, I have to say that with the Avery paint mask making signs like these are also easy now. At first I was painting the signs and then sanding to make nice sharp edges. With the mask, as long as it is put on nice and smooth it works great. The sanding method works OK too but just more time consuming. Still there is no doubt that any great woodworking item can be turned to junk by a bad finishing job. Finishing off the job is an art to say the least.
