Hi!
I got a problem with the result of a cut.
I am cutting/engraving some numbers on a plywood.
In Cut2D Desktops 3d view it looks great but after I
have run the cutting the result is mirrored!
The numbers 10 show up as 01(but mirrored numbers).
Is there some config in Cut2D Desktop I need to do or
is my cheap cnc crap?
Regards
Thomas

Sounds like you have the machine configured incorrectly. It's either the settings in your controller or the wiring. Lots of posts on the forum from people with the same issue and it's always one or the other of those.
This is a thread with the same issue from another forum with different software which shows it's not Cut2D. There are some things to check there as well - https://discuss.inventables.com/t/mirro ... nc/71462/7

What is CNC3-3018Pro? Is that basically a Chinese 3018 that uses mach3? if so, where did you get your mach3 setup guide? Also, which post processor are you selecting in Cut2D?

When in doubt re-arrange and add spaces where they make sense Genmitsu 3018-PRO CNC Router: https://www.sainsmart.com/products/sain ... ro-diy-kit

I don't see anywhere which he stated it was a Genmitsu. Oh well. I'd still like to see the other answers.adze_cnc wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 7:44 pmWhen in doubt re-arrange and add spaces where they make sense Genmitsu 3018-PRO CNC Router: https://www.sainsmart.com/products/sain ... ro-diy-kit

Sorry for re-posting this question, couldn't find other posts on this subject....probably because bad search words from my side.Adrian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 9:44 amSounds like you have the machine configured incorrectly. However thanks for the link, will check it!
Re: 3d view and reality not the same
Yes its chinese, but it uses grbl 1.1f not mach3.AboveCreations wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 7:09 pmWhat is CNC3-3018Pro? Is that basically a Chinese 3018 that uses mach3? if so, where did you get your mach3 setup guide? Also, which post processor are you selecting in Cut2D?
I selected the grbl(mm) postprocessor.
Re: 3d view and reality not the same
The link shows a CNC that looks very same as mine but mine is not made by Genmitsu I think.adze_cnc wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 7:44 pmWhen in doubt re-arrange and add spaces where they make sense Genmitsu 3018-PRO CNC Router: https://www.sainsmart.com/products/sain ... ro-diy-kit
When you say re-arrange and add spaces I dont know how. My project is VERY simple, I attach my crv-file.

Excellent information - thanks Adrian!Adrian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 9:44 amThis is a thread with the same issue from another forum with different software which shows it's not Cut2D. There are some things to check there as well - https://discuss.inventables.com/t/mirro ... nc/71462/7
I will test this!
Re: 3d view and reality not the same
... I have been thinking a bit. I have been using LaserGRBL and Candle with the same machine
before and they didn't output mirrored projects. I have even used the Cut2D Desktop demo and
the Avalon example without the mirrored output. Maybe I used another post-processor then...?
If so, then I should find something in my grbl(mm)-post-processor-file that compromise my project, right?
