I got the design from Kathy Wise Designs, but she teases you. She shows a picture of the Jaguar complete with a bunch of plants and other animals, but she only would sell me the line art of the Jaguar lying on a branch.
I decided to add my own clipart, some from other intarsias and some I drew. Everything was done in Aspire! Size is 64” x 42”. I started counting how may parts there was, but after I took my shoes off and got past 20, I lost count.

Very nice, Gary! That was a lot of work and you did a fantastic job!
What did you use for the backing? (What thickness?)

That`s art.
Re: Jaguar on Branch Intarsia
Michael, I use 1/8-in tempered hardboard for the backing. The different wood I used was all 4/4 except for the frame where I used 5/4 oak. To set the different thickness of each piece, I used both the round and flat shape, while adjusting the Angle and Base Height. I always had the Limit to Height set, which sometimes didn't work, so I would double check the Z height of each piece and set it to the height I wanted. The distance between each vector I set at .03-inch. Thanks everyone for the complement. What did you use for the backing? (What thickness?)
