Logo along Curve?
Ive used the search function, googled it and I just cant seem to find an answer. How do I take a .eps logo and wrap it around a curve? this seems so simple, I'm a noobie but have been able to figure out everything sofar. Im making a cuved piece and need my company logo to "wrap" or "contour" around it. Similar to how the text on a curve works but I need the entire logo todo that.
Is it possible? The way my logo is designed I cant really "chop" it up to curve it in sections.
Thansk!

I did try that but it just didn’t “distort” the way I wanted it to. I found it kind of cumbersome keeping things lined up.

A picture or two of what you're trying to do might help....

Here you go! I want the logo to be between the two circles and "follow" the curvature.highpockets wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 4:07 amA picture or two of what you're trying to do might help....

Re: Logo along Curve?
Hi,
This logo design as-is doesn’t lend itself very well for wrapping around that area between the two circle boundaries.
If I had “free reign” to wrap it, I would first put the stylized “S” in the center circle (enlarged).
Then, I would place/wrap the word “Signature” on the top arc area, then place/wrap the words “Sound & Video” on the bottom arc area.
I wouldn’t attempt a “full wrap” on either the top nor bottom arc areas. Just let the text “find” it’s own pleasing arc shape without stretching or distorting the lettering.
BTW, increasing the spacing between some of the letters (kerning) would likely be beneficial - they appear squished too closely in some areas for achieving a chip-free carve. (Or maybe you’re using a laser??)

Re: Logo along Curve?
It is totally doable:
There are several different ways of doing it.\
I did not fool around with it very long so a better job could be done aligning the lower line of characters.

That looks good like that. I understood (or misunderstood) he wanted it wrapped all the way ‘round.
Your way is best, if the OP wants to keep the logo intact.

Re: Logo along Curve?
A kind of "manual" way of getting text to curve is as follows:
Type out the text.
Bust it up into individual letters/curves.
Align the letters with where you want them located between the curves.
Move a letter into place, then rotate it using the center of the circles. Wash rinse repeat for each letter.
That is not the way I did it, but it is a pretty simple method and works well.

Re: Logo along Curve?
I just figured distort between two curves, but it can be done various ways (arc text tool is another)
