Getting that cut out without breakage overshadows the use of the roundover bit. Amazing.

Getting that cut out without breakage overshadows the use of the roundover bit. Amazing.
The material is 0.75" Medex MDF. I've also cut these in 1" thick 15 lb sign foam.

I used a 0.25" end mill to cut around the project leaving a 0.01" skin.
Then I used a 0.125" end mill with a 1" length of cut.
Since the larger end mill had removed the bulk of the material the smaller end mill could get into the detailed areas with minimal load.

Randall,

I have one of those bits but have never used it like this! Very cool looking! Thanks for the PDF to keep me looking for opportunities to try this...
