What do you do while the CNC machine is running?

Here is one of my projects:

Nothing as interesting as that.

Sometimes I nap (being old lets you do that)

Other times Murphy over there decides we need to play.

Clean up shop.

Do odd things in the shop to make it more fun.

Drink coffee.

Drink coke.

Snooze.

Read the forum.

Walk the dogs, go out metal detecting.
I know some guys don't but I often walk away from the machine for hours at a time, to me thats half the beauty of it, doing something productive in an automated fashion.

While this was cutting today went out and found a large cent from 1835 !

I have a WiFi camera with pan and zoom pointed at my CNC so I maybe away from mine, but I can check on it with my phone or computer anytime...

I try to have other work to do in the shop;another project, complete finishing steps in the bot project, listen to something on the radio, have lunch. I don't feel OK leaving the shop for very long when the bot is running.

This is actually a very good question because we all have to be "in da house" while our "computer controlled shop assistants" are busy cutting out nice things. I personally work on other projects, other assemblies for the same project, other guitar builds (I do electrics as a hobby), do shop cleaning/organization, check online forums, eat lunch at my main bench, etc... Honestly, working multiple projects at one time is kinda nice because it cuts down on some of the rush which in turn, increases quality and accuracy.
