Captain - There be WHALES in here

Post by Leo »

Just a little quickie.

First off - I did not make the two shorter whales, but I did make the other 5 whales.

There actually is SOME CNC work here, but also a lot of Hand? work. Dremel, belt sander, hand saw, rock hammer, screwdriver, paint brushes, hand sanding, ROS 40 grit, and some other stuff.

I have 39 Gb of files that I will turn into a video so I can share the technical details of the process. Some of which may be of interest to someone.

It's incredible the amount of work I put into these things.

They look great Leo. I can see them in $14 million mansion on Martha’s Vineyard. Awesome!

The whales will be going to clients.

I have a picture of a whale that is hanging on the outside of the entrance to the Whaling Museum in New Bedford. I am working on creating a 3D model of that whale. That one will be my official Moby Dick. I don't know if you all know this but Herman Melville, author of the book Moby Dick, was a resident of New Bedford. A movie was made from the book and at least parts of the movie Moby Dick were of an actual whaling expedition out of New Bedford.

I all ready have people asking me for the Moby Dick I will be making.
