Did this the past weekend. I must thank Michael Tyler for this fun and fast project of the month. I used a cheap wood from Menards , Aspen, but it worked just fine and looks good too ( I think). Thanks again Michael, I love doing your projects.

Great job, Dave! I like the contrasting wood in the center portion and the lined bottoms inside the box!

Thanks Michael. I also painted the silver screws black to match the knobs I put on it. It looks better this way. Love your projects !!!

That is very nice. I may have to try to do one. I might consider using a dowel instead of a screw. Just would need to offset the dowel hole so it can freely turn. Once again, awesome job Michael and thanks so much for sharing!

Do you ever end up with a lot of small pieces left over from a project that are just too good to throw away?
Well I have a load of them but none were big enough to make the Solunar box full size.
I collected several pieces of poplar that were about the same color and went to work.
I resized the project to 88% of the original and this is how it turned out.

One thing on the solunar box project was the variable depth on some of the vectors. How is that done?
