Suggest a better font

This design is 8X10 I think I need a better font.
The letters are .5 .75. Some of the experts on this
forum do small lettering all the time. Some of these
letters have some very thin parts that I don't think
will carve very well. Any suggestion for a small font
and what V-bit I might use.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Times New Roman font that you used. Very commonly used because it is so readable. The fancy fonts are less easily read and, since I am an engineer, I prefer practicality over "look at me!".

I don't consider .5" to be small letters myself. I've used Times New Roman as small as .15" high successfully with a 45 degree V bit. (The following is .5" high lettering. The sign was carved with a 60 degree bit.) I usually use .050" for the flat depth setting.

I agree with Mike. Many newspapers use this font for the reasons explained by Mike.

I bought a T and there where 2 of them. I asked to solve the puzzle
and this was my answer. JK LOL needs a little cleaning up

Don, looks like a lot of the letters could use a bit more space, something to think about for future projets, opening up the lettering a little can make a big difference, if your not sure how much then use the toolpath preview which is very accurate. Use the toolpath colour option & select the paint colour your going to use.

I have to admit, I had to use google to translate that.. lol. I also will embarrassingly admit that I spent 6 years in the 70-80's in West Germany while in the military, and I never got to learn the language completely. I could communicate sparingly with "Ein a beer bitta" and simple things... but I am already dyslectic to try to convert a simple sentence structure, such as, "I am going down to the train station" to something like, "train station going down to, I am, or 'Ich'". It just confuses the heck out of me.... lol. Sorry to blab.. just had to share that...

and I so miss the volksmarches, the brats and the beer! Earning a little cute medal for walking 20km.... lol. THAT was heavan!
