I'm using Aspire Ver8.5.
There was/is a feature that if you'd lay/draw a straight line across a model like you were going to split the model or component. Instead of it splitting the model it gave you the profile of the surface along that line.
I've looked through the tutorial but haven't found anything.

If you profile along the line with a toolpath that cuts the full depth of the material, and then in the preview, double click on the piece you want to disappear, you can see the section cut.

In the Measure/Inspect dialog, there are two checkbox options; 'Span/Contour Properties' and 'Model Cross-Section'. One of these is what you're looking for.
