text cut

Hi, I'm trying to use the text tool to label parts. I'm cutting parts in styrene to use a model kits and would like to label the parts with names or letters or numbers.
I'm using a router engraver, no brand , a chinese machine.
I've tried the text tool using arial text. It seems to cut in multiple passes.
I set the text to cut inside not outline. I've played with text size and cutter size.
I'm only cutting .15 mm deep and would like to cut in 1 pass . Example cut an S or 7 in one pass.
Do I have to create my own vecters of single line letters and numbers?
I did search this topic and didn't find anything so I apologize if this has been covered before.

Have you tried the Single Line fonts that are included with the software?

Thanks. I knew it had to something simple. I work in garage and don't have wifi so I can't search the help or this forum.
