I don't have a water cooled spindle, BUT.... I figure something like the stuff in the link below might be a good fit.

Here's what I use on my 3hp 2.2kw spindle. $15 and it has suction cups for feet. I've not had a minute's trouble.

I've read elsewhere (?) that using antifreeze can be detrimental to the spindle.

We (slomakerspace.com) use a five gallon bucket with lid and a pond pump. Our hose lines are overkill (1/2" or 5/8" diam). The spindle's coolant fittings are barely 1/4" and the openings are probably in the area of 1/8"id, so going larger than 1/4" or 5/16" hoses is pointless. Coolant is just water with a little bleach (and bleach can be hard on seals).

What's important is the "Lift" of the pump (how high the pump can push water). Many pumps have a lift limit of only three feet. Even though our pump is at the level of the CNC's table, the hoses go two or 2-1/2 feet higher than that. If your pump is on the floor or on a shelf below the table, you can easily exceed the lift capabilities of your pump.

Not trying to be a 'smarty pants' here, but lift isn't really a concern in a system like this. The 'lift' of the pump is ONLY concerned with the starting and ending points (as long as it is a closed system between those two points). So even if your pump is on the ground and the spindle is 10 feet in the air and your hose goes up to 20' before coming back down to the spindle, as long as the exit is at the same level as the pump you have essentially zero lift. The friction in the hose does equate to a little lift though, in a situation like this.

On my Axiom pro 6 cnc the pump and radiator ride on the gantry. It is a small closed system that is filled with rv antifreeze since in the winter it gets cold in my shop sometimes. My spindle is a 2.2 kw. Don.t know if they are available on the internet but they should be.
