Largest project so far.
This is a 78 in sign carved in my 24 " capacity Shark. All designed in Aspire... great system. 16 tiles to carve it, and I had a few near misses on the tiles, but generally had no fatal errors

Very nice. Well done.
Re: Largest project so far.
Excellent. What kind of wood did you use? Is it finished as shown or will you be doing more work to apply a finish?

Re: Largest project so far.
Wow!! Would never have dared that:)
Very nice to know it can be done in Aspire!
Now it's got me wondering what tiling in VCP and an import of a Cut3D does? Anybody tried that?
GREAT work on a smaller machine!

Great job! And what a great reminder to all of us not to limit our imagination by the size of our machines!

Re: Largest project so far.
I actually have an order for two of these for this community. They are made of 3" x 12" spruce. i made them in to 24 " x 80" pieces for the runs.
The finished pieces will have the center carved area painted, and the raise surface of the letters and outer circled painted.. Than several coats of Marines Spar varnish to golden them up and provide some US protection. installation is in May.

Wow. I don't think I would have tried that on my Shark. Very well done. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Well said Mike, and very well done Scott. I have tried some pretty detailed work in the past that really tested my resolve. I'm sure this played on your patience as well.mikeacg wrote:Great job! And what a great reminder to all of us not to limit our imagination by the size of our machines!
