I've been searching for a while to find the model associated with the following project
http://www.vectric.com/WebSite/Vectric/ ... d_leaf.htm
Does anyone know where I can find it?
Cheers,
Alan

Re: Carved Leaf
Hi Alan,
It is one of the sample files included with Cut3D.
If you have Cut3D installed on your computer it will be in the Sample Files folder for Cut3D in the C:\\ Program Files (or Program Files (x86)) directory.

Re: Carved Leaf
So I now have the sample Cut3D file and I suppose I could open it with the trial version of Cut3D, but I would really like to incorporate it with some Aspire or VCarvePro files.
I can't seem to be able to find a way to open the Cut3D file in either of them.
Am I stuffed?
Regards,
Alan

Re: Carved Leaf
Alan,
I don't know the file format on the bowl, but it should open in Aspire.

Re: Carved Leaf
Look on the File/Import menu. The Cut3D file must have calculated toolpaths in it. You can't load a Cut3D file directly into Aspire or VCarve.

Re: Carved Leaf
The file is in Cut3D native format, .v3d, and will only open in Cut3D. To save toolpaths you need a licensed copy of Cut3D, the trial version will not help.

Re: Carved Leaf
As it's one of the sample files the trial version will actually let you save the file with the embedded toolpaths and then import them into VCarve/Aspire. If all you want to do is to cut it then you might as well do it directly in Cut3D though and save the hassle of importing.

Re: Carved Leaf
Thanks Adrian,
I just tried your suggestion and I can now import (with a toolpath) and accomplish what I want in Aspire.
Cheers,
Alan
