These images are of a test piece we cut in brass on a Roland EGX-600 desktop engraving machine. The piece of brass is about 75mm (3") high.
Please click on the thumbnails to view higher resolution images, due to the lines in the engravings the small thumbnail exhibit patterning that isn't there when the pieces are viewed in the 'real world'

- The brass piece after a minute or so's polishing with 'wet and dry'. The blackening remains in the grooves but is easily removed from the flat surface. The photos don't do the piece justice unfortunately

- Here we have applied 'blackening fluid' all over the brass piece, you could also use a paint such as enamel

I don't remember ever seeing these images before but, after checking the posting date,well, that is not surprising.......
Pity, I may not have given up on PVC if I had seen these first.
