This may be a simple question but I just don't know.
I just finished watching the videos from the UGM 2023.
Purchased the UGM package and was able to install the vectric clipart and the Autumn fun D&M pack.
However in looking at D&M there are several free clipart packs that I downloaded.
I now have loads of free stl files.
what is the best way to add all of these to my clipart gallery under Design and Make.
Is there a batch process that can be used?
Thank you
Mike

Re: Adding stl files to clipart
If you have Aspire you can save each one as a 3Dclip file and add it to your clip art folders.
If you have VCarve you can import one in a project and save it as a .CRV file. Then you can add the CRV file to your clip art folders.
There currently is no batch process.

Re: Adding stl files to clipart
Hey Mike...
Thanks for purchasing the pack. I hope you enjoy the content!
Yes... when you download the free content from D&M make sure you choose the .V3M version of the project. If you do that, the projects will be delivered to you as a file that you can run. Once run the installer it will put all the .V3Ms in their proper folders so that your software can find them. They should show up in your clipart tab with the rest of your D&M clipart.
Hope that helps!..

Thank you Todd,
I did enjoy your UGM presentation on vcarve inlays.
I knew that there had to be a way to add the models to vcarve pro.
I'm going to work on reviewing the design and make assembly video that Beki presented at the UGM 2023
Mike

Re: Adding stl files to clipart
Same thing goes for any clipart you may purchase from Design & Make, select the .V3M format for your download.
Some like collections & projects come with an installer which makes installing them in the correct place really easy, the individual models once downloaded you will need to move yourself, you can either create a new folder to keep them in or just add them to the various clipart folders that are already installed.
I normally rename them & then add them to the various Vectric clipart folders rather than a Design & make folder. So say I downloaded a model of a Lion once the download was complete I would move the model to the Animals clipart folder
