Using ball nose cutter option

Post by tim sewald »

Hello,
i want to use a 1/8" ball nose cutter in PhotoVCarve but that tool is not listed as an option. Can this tool be added to the tool database?

In the stand alone PhotoVcarve app yes, In Vcarve with the photo Vcarve tool path option no it is limited to Vbits.

Thanks Scott,
When I upgraded to V10 which included photoVCarve I didn't realize it was a different version.

It's a photo vcarve toolpath with VCarve. It's not the same thing as the PhotoVCarve product.

Thanks Adrian,

Perhaps I should have researched a bit more before pulling the trigger on V10 and thinking I was getting the full version. Now that I know I may buy it later anyway. For grins, I'll lie to the software and use a 1/8" ball nose and see what I get. I'd also like to have the option to make the cutting step over whatever I want as well.

Thanks for the replies.

Tim
