How to install Laser Module

Post by tgauthier »

I purchased the Laser module and did receive a reply with the invoice paid. How do I now install it to my Aspire 10.509?

I am All Set.. figured it out. Had to go to the "Help" dropdown window and "Enter License Code" then I was able to successfully install the Laser Module.

I would like to purchase it but it will not take me to a link to purchase. It's like I'm stuck in a circle where it says click to sign in and purchase but it keeps taking me back to Aspire (which I own) and wants me to download it again. I'm lost. I wish they were open today.

Log into your account at https://portal.vectric.com

Click on the "Upgrade your Software" button.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Get Add-on" for your software.

Choose your controller and go to checkout.

How important is it when I choose which "Laser" I am using. Right now I only have a very cheap sub $400 laser with stand alone function. I will be upgrading at some point but was trying to keep from using my Shark HD3 with a better laser so I can use them independently.
I know that choosing the right software makes all the difference to make what I have work but I was wondering if the $49 charge happens if I need to change lasers and thus change drivers.

Thank you !

As far as I'm aware it makes no difference as all the post processors are installed. I think it's just so that they can display warning messages etc so you know what you need to do for the chosen setup.
