So I pulled the trigger on a Jtech laser..

Post by WARNERD999@GMAIL.COM »

hi

I have the 4.2 laser headed my way and have installed the laser module for Vcarve desktop. The tool database and setting for the laser are throwing me off a bit. What are the best settings to start with? How do you home and zero the axis x,y,z? I am using carbide motion as a gcode sender.

TIA

Dave

Dave, good evening.
I don’t see any replies to your post. Just wondering if you got your laser and what you’ve learned?

I don’t have a laser but hope to eventually and it’s never too early to start learning.

Thx, rink.
I want to be unique like everyone else.

I have that exact 4.2W laser on my Shapeoko. XL. I have the Spindle Mount version. I switched from Carbide Motion to Cncjs on mine. What do you need?
