Auto Vector Selection with Laser Module

Does anyone know why the Laser Module does allow for Automatic Vector Selection like all other toolpath options offer? Gets very frustrating trying to create and use project and toolpath templates that involve laser toolpaths. I have to think there must be a functional or programmatic reason as not providing it doesn't seem to make any sense. I know this has been brought up on occasion but I don't recall ever seeing anyone from Vectric jump on to the discussion to shed light on this.

The word I got from Vectric was that they adapted other code and turned it into "laser" toolpath code. At that time, they couldn't say when the laser module would change.

Well, sure we'll all sit around and wait.

PS. There's a post in this laser module forum where I quoted what they said. Six months ago? More?
