I need a GADGET to run a TEMPLATE only on a sheet, and generate the g-code.
Similar to the Apply Template To All Sheets Gadget, but only for the active sheet.
Can someone create for me?

To do what you want you could set "Select Sheets When Edit Toolpath" to No in Options. Then load the template and when it asks if you want to apply the template to all sheets say No.

All you need to do then is to select the Sheet you want, click the Recalculate All icon and the toolpaths for that sheet will be calculated for you to save.

but where is this option?
I didn't see inside the gadget to edit.
I want the gadget to do this.
I know how to do it manually.
But I want the gadger to do it automatically

There is no gadget. Everything is in the software. Even if there was a gadget there would be no "automatically". The steps needed to effect this using a gadget are equal in number or perhaps more than the built-in capability of the software.

Yes. I know there is gadget for v9 and lower it's Adrian's suggested procedure at the link that is relevant.

As said in the reply above I'm not talking about the gadget I'm talking about VCarve/Aspire. The gadget doesn't exist anymore as there is no need for it. The option is in the Options (on the Edit menu) in VCarve/Aspire.

The only thing the gadget could perhaps do for you over using the software itself is to save the toolpaths without having to press the Save button as that's the way I set that part of the gadget up originally.

my friend this answer does not help at all.
I think you misunderstood the original question.

Help me out then,

You want to load a template and have it apply the template to one sheet only rather than all the sheets. Is that correct?

If that is right then what I told you will work.

What it won't do is to automatically calculate the toolpaths and automatically save them. Instead you have to press the Recalculate All button and the Save button.

If what I've said above isn't what you want to then can you explain what you want to do step by step.

As has been said the new sheets interface is far more powerful than the gadget so I would be surprised if it can't anything you would want.

Maybe a record macro feature in the software would be handy for that. Possible feature request? Other software has that feature and helps to automate things.
My favorite gadget of all time is a 32oz ball peen hammer. Not helpful but you can fix a lot of stuff with one of those.
Adrian, go get your hammer!

I am looking for a feature to index around a cylinder. I am not looking for wrapping I am looking for an index of the 4th axis to be able to pocket multiple locations around a cylinder. Think pockets and parts with flat bottoms. I have searched with no results.

Thanks in advance

john
