Watching as I have same issues....
Hi Bill,
Can do a quick test for me?

Rename this file from ".c" to ".vgadget" and try it.

If that fails, rename the file to a ".zip" and open it and look for a ".lua" file and open in Notepad.

This did work for me.

Hello All,

Here is the most up-to-date zip file of the Easy Tool Gadgets.

Rename the "EasyTools20200526.zip" file to "EasyTools.vgadget" and run the "Install New Gadget..." from the Gadgets menu.

Please let me know if you have any issues.
This did not work for me.

I am thinking the file is too large to process, so let's try this. Rename this file from ".zip" to ".vgadget" and try them.

Hi All,

I just posted a youtube video for a User Guide on the Dovetail Tool Database. (3 minutes)

I am working on the Wiki on structure and content. I don't believe the PowerPoint to a PDF was sufficient. In addition to having written documentation and graphics. I intend to provide short videos on how to and user guides for the more complex Easy Gadgets. I'm thinking this video format will work. I have to say, nailing this down on the format and process seems to be the hardest part of this endeavor of generating some gadgets. Please share your thoughts.

Here is the link:

Thanks,

Jim,
I have been following your post for a while however I have Aspire 9.514 and I can't get any of the dovetail tools to work. When I try to load the gadget it says cant unpack this file. Please help! I need to be able to make dovetails for a project I'm working on. The Box Creator on the Vectric site adds many random vectors when you choose the dovetail option. This renders it useless.

Please Help!

Do you have the ability to hold the material vertically at the end of your machine? This gadget works very differently from the Box Creator dovetail as that one is created with the material flat on the table.

if you're getting random vectors with the Box Creator you're doing something wrong or not understanding the process of how to use it as it's in use by many people and I haven't seen any reports of it creating random vectors. It automatically creates the toolpaths for the vectors, maybe you're mistaking the 2D preview of the toolpaths for vectors?

Thank you for the quick reply. No, I cant place my stock vertically. I know how the box creator works and as the screenshot shows it added a vector that goes from the bottom left to the top right. Sometimes it's one and others it can be up to five. you never know. Its only on the dovetails not the tab joints.

I can't see the picture properly as it's too small. Could you post it large or ideally the actual CRV file?
