Re: Easy US Flag Maker
Dang, that was fast! Thanks for the Colorado flag. I was thinking it would be nice to have a Union Jack flag, but did not want to ask for two of them. You must of read my mind. I will have to get time now to try them out.
Thanks again,
Dale

Re: Easy US Flag Maker
Happy to help...
Due to my current condition, I cannot get in the shop. So I have time on my hands to bang out some gadgets.
If any other flags or other objects you can think of, please let me know.

Re: Easy US Flag Maker
Hear is the CSA flag...
Please note: Flags are parametriclly produced (coded on math not image) and each item is on a named layer. Also, I up load all of the flags each update. these are the most up-to-date versions of the files.
As per our admin's:
"Just a note for people installing. The "correct" place for 3rd party and optional gadgets is the Vectric Files/Gadgets folder in Public Documents. The Application Data folder is really meant for Vectric gadgets that come with the software and you can lose what you put in there when you uninstall versions etc. As it's a hidden folder many people don't backup it. If you use the Public Documents folder it's easier to backup and there isn't a chance of it being removed when uninstalling etc."
Please enjoy!

Re: Easy US Flag Maker
Hi all,
The "POW MIA" and "DON'T TREAD ON ME" flags are very detail at around 20K to 30K of points each. Not saying, no but maybe... any other flags?

Good point, tread in particular would probably look like a hot mess in vectors

On the Union Jack flag...
The diagonal red cross, representing St. Patrick's Cross of Ireland, should not have flat spots at the center. The stripes have sharp points, as the entire flag does. The points shouldn't be cropped off to a flat.
There are several guides on the correct scale and dimensions of the Union Jack Flag.

Correct dimensions.
This was drawn mathematically, using the correct dimensions.
I have the file saved since I've done these for some friends in the UK.
They are quite specific about their flag, as many Americans are.

Re: Easy US Flag Maker
Maybe I'm missing something here but what's the point in having gadgets to draw flags? With vectors they can be scaled to any size you like.
