Re: Easy Cabinet Maker

Post by jimandi5000 »

Hello boys and girls,

Sharkcutup and I have been busy these last few days and made a few additions to the Easy Cabinet maker.

Here is version 13 and will only work within version 11+ of the VCarve Pro or Aspire.

Supports:
Version 11+ VCarve Pro or Aspire.

Enhancements:
1. Create sheets for different thickness parts (SDK doesn't support setting sheet material thickness)
2. Added drawer slides pilot holes for the cabinet sides and back (this includes a user interface to edit, create new slides)
3. Error trapping and many more features and functions.

Next Steps:
Updating the Help Files

Welcome any feedback.

Jimbo,

How are you? I just noticed you have rev 12.1 out. I will give it a look.

I was going to make a bathroom vanity but in order to do that the horizontal pieces that tie the sides together need moved to the vertical faces in order for the sink top to fit.

Just a suggestion.

Willy

Hello everyone,

I believe it is finished. Attached you will find a copy of the Version 13.5 of the Easy Cabinet Maker.

This is the most complete, most comprehensive, and most tested version of the gadget.

Due to the size of the PDF file, I am unable to included in the gadget installation package. You'll need to download it directly from:
https://www.jimandi.com/EasyGadgets/Eas ... tMaker.pdf

Supports: Vectric aspire and VCarve Pro 11.0+ only

Enhancements List:
  • 49 page user guide
  • User editable Materials and Finishes ini file
  • Corrected pilot hole for Drawer Slides
  • Improved hardware management logic
  • So many others I can't remember.
Unless someone finds an error, I have no plans for new modifications to this gadget.

Special thanks to Sharkcutup for all of his feedback, encouragement, suggestions, guidance, reviewing, proofing, testing and support.

Jimbo,

Gracias, I downloaded 13.5 and installed it without a problem. I also downloaded the pdf of the documentation.

I like my docs printed, do you have any plans to create any printable(portrait) docs? Did you use power point to create the pdf?

I think I asked you if you could create an option to create a bathroom cabinet that a sink top fits on?

Once again, thank you for the gadget. It is amazing.

Hi Willy,

Yes, I am working on the Word (pdf) version of the help file. I know I did not make it real clear but the PowerPoint version is more of a user guide. The Word version I am working on I am trying to go into more detail on each Input item.

Can you sent me a drawing of what you are thinking of and what questions you would be looking at?
Thanks,
Jim

Jimbo,

Picture of a bath vanity. I don't know the names of the top pieces that span the cabinet.
