Re: Easy Cabinet Maker
Hello All,
I have a new version 10-9.0 of the Easy Cabinet Maker.
I have added material block logic to the gadget. (thanks Willy) This additional code will determine if you have the material in a horizontal or vertical position and determine where the XY Datum Origin Point is located ie. top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right or center. I would not recommend using the material center for the origin point, you will have mainly manipulate the cabinet components on the drawing in order to get parts to fit properly on the material.
I will continue to work on the documentation (documentation is a much larger part of the project than I was anticipating) and as always, I welcome your feedback, suggestions or if you find errors.
Here is the link to the download page?

Jim,
Thanks for the help. What tools are used to create gadgets? Are they a script of some sort?

Jim,
I can't seem to find 10.9?
All I get is 10.8.3 which has nothing about changing the orientation?
Thanks,
Willy

Re: Easy Cabinet Maker
Jim, are you still making Easy Cabinet Maker available? I've tried your website a few times and it says that it is under maintenance.
I'm writing a cabinet gadget and so far I have the case done. I was about to start on drawers and discovered your post here.
Another option I was looking at was modifying the Vectric Box Creator gadget but there is a lot of code there I would want to strip out plus modifying the bottom for a dado.
I'm looking to do simple boxes for the drawers, box joint sides with dado on the bottom.
My cabinets are simple. Sides are two dado's (for top and bottom) and a rabbet for the back, plus adjustable shelf holes. Top and bottom are two rabbets on each side to mate with the case sides plus one on the flip side for the case back.

Hi Jim,
Thank you for sharing! Have you had any thoughts about drawers or do you use the Vectric Box Creator gadget?

Re: Easy Cabinet Maker
Sorry, after becoming disabled, I can't afford keeping the JimAndI.com web site and had to turn it off. I am rethinking the help solution gadgets. I should have something coming out soon.Rcnewcomb wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 3:40 pmIs the web site still being developed? I'm unable to connect.I have been working on the web site all day....
