Jim and I have been Working Diligently to ADD NEW FEATURES to this Gadget!!!

Note:**** (Be sure to check/verify all toolpath settings before going to CNC Machine!!!)

This is Version 3.0

Supports 10.5 and Up

Install
1. Use Link Below to Download the gadget EasyBoxMakerVer3.0.zip.
2. Rename the file once downloaded to your Computer from EasyBoxMakerVer3.0.zip to EasyBoxMakerVer3.0.vgadget
3. In Vectric Pro or Aspire click on Gadgets -> Install New Gadget and navigate to where you downloaded the file to, select it and click Ok.

It should then provide you a pop up saying the "Gadget Has Been Installed" and you should see EasyBoxMakerVer3.0 in the Gadgets Menu. Be sure To Close/Restart Either Aspire or V-Carve Pro so that the Installation is Completed. If you do not Close/Restart your Vectric Program you will not see the Gadget listed in your Gadgets menu!!!

Steps for Use:

1. Setup a NEW drawing with a suitable material size.
2. Run the Easy Box Maker GadgetVer3.0.
Note:***(The user may want to get into a HABIT of doing the next two(2) steps after each first opening the gadget.
3. Click "About Menu" Button.
4. Click "Gadget Reset" Button, Then Answer the Prompt Message.
5. Enter the proper values for the drawer opening, clearances, the materials thickness and sizes for the drawer parts.
6. Click the Project Menu Button, Input where to Save the BOMs/Cut-List Files.
7. Click the Milling Menu Button, Check, Verify, Change if Necessary the values and select the joint type, bottom type.
8. On the Main menu, Select the tooling to use to mill the Box parts.
9. Click the OK button.

Remember to Change the .zip to .vgadget before installing to either Aspire or V-Carve Pro!

What’s really causing a soaring file size is the PNG files for the help system. PNG was originally created as a replacement for GIF files (which was under patent). As such they do well with broad fields of colour but not so well with anything photo-realistic. If you just take all the images that are 200k and larger (about 15.9 megs worth) you can compress them into JPG files occupying about 1.6 megs.

Even at 15,9 megs it’s better than the 1/2 gigabyte the former base64 encodings took up. The trade-off is that the base64 compresses much more than PNG but occupies as a great whack of space.

Yup! We (Jim and I) are looking at various options for the Gadget files due to their increasing file size especially the Easy Cabinet Maker Gadget @ 51.6 MB. This is due in part to the number of images used for the Help Documentation. Even compressing/optimizing each individual image file the overall file size is still rather large. We are presently looking at several available options in which we are testing/considering for displaying and retrieval/downloading of the "EASY" Gadgets. We are also open to Comments and suggestions too!
