Thanks Jeff
Hi Jeff,
That's great. Let me see if I can walk you through how to get started.
1. Download the latest version of the gadget from the forum
2. Locate the downloaded file on your computer in your Downloads directory.
3. The file should have a ".zip" extension. The file extension needs to be renamed to ".vgadget" so your Vectric software can see it. (Quick note: We've seen some people have problems renaming the extension, if they do not have the File Explore set to display file extensions)
4. Open your Vectric V-Carve Pro or Aspire program
5. Navigate to the gadget pulldown menu and select "Install New Gadget..." at the top of the menu and navigate to your "Downloads" directory and Select the gadget file and select okay
6. You should see a pop-up menu stating gadget has been installed successfully
7. Create a new file and configure the serial sizes and orientation to your mill
8. Navigate to the gadget pulldown menu and select the newly installed gadget. It may appear in a cascaded sub menu under the gadget pulldown
9. You should see the main dialogue appear in the middle of your screen.
10. Select the Project button and set the project path (The place for the Bill of Material files will be located) and select OK button
11. Change the Cabinet name from "Default" to a name that represents this cabinet
12. Enter the dimensional values for the base cabinet and or the wall cabinet
13. The Tooling for the Profile, Pocketing, and Drilling operations.
14. Which cabinet to be created (Wall, Base, or Both)
15. Select the OK button to draw your first cabinet.
You should see the components of the cabinet being created on your sheet.
If you receive an error, please let me know and I'll do everything I can to help you reach success.
