First go

Post by mpblmb »

I'm new to V-Carve and this my first post. Below is my first sign that made it to getting a finished applied. I have a home build mill. I used the Avery mask after attempting the first couple without. I have to say V-Carve is a great product, I'm haveing a lot of fun with it.

I really like the stain color. What type did you use.

Great Job

Thanks

The wood I used is Spanish Cedar beacuae it was cheaper than Mahogany. The stain is a filler stain I had left over from a wooden boat I restored. The boat manufacture was a Century, not a Chris Craft, and the color is the original color used by Century. I believe it is a common petite filler stain but I can find out for sure if you like.

Great looking sign. What is the name of the fancy font.
Post a pic of your machine in the Gallery of machines thread.

Excellent work on the sign. I too like the fancy font. It's fun to see what can be made from a homebrewed machine. Keep up the excellent work.
