Making a Chess board

Using v-carve to make this chessboard .
the tiles is made from 4mm mdf with oak veneer on.
Fun project with my son.

the chess pieces are 3d printed but I maybye design a rotary for my cnc somi could
make some mere intricate chess pieces:)

Awesome Project!!! Nice Job!!!

I believe I would have alternated the Inlayed Squares Grain (lighter ones opposite direction) but that is just my preference.

I just use my co2 laser for the letters on the board. i did cut the tiles out on the laser also. :)

Very nicely done. Just an FYI, you can do very intricate carved pieces as double sided jobs in Vcarve.
