Decades of Rock - The Rubber Bowl

For those who are not familiar with Akron Ohio, it is known as the rubber capitol of the world. Goodyear, (Bridgestone) Firestone, Goodrich and General tire companies all started here. The Rubber Bowl was built in 1940 and hosted a few professional (American) football games, it was the long-time home of The University of Akron football as well as many concerts and other events over the years. In the past decade, it has fallen into disrepair and is slated to be demolished. The local newspaper did a story on the rock concerts that took place in the 70s and 80s. I took that information, along with other info I could dig up, to do this tribute carving. I was amazed at the number of big-name bands that played there. Maybe some of you old rockers out there attended one of these concerts? Sadly, even though I graduated high school in 1972 and lived about 60 miles away, I did not.
