Here is my copy of Broinwood eagle cutting board.
Have a long way to go, one error, I was under a time pressure to get this board finished by tomorrow.
First coat of oil...

That's the deep Vinlay one I saw a pic of recently with the female cut Ron?
Any problems or things you'd do different.
Liking it!!

Re: Walnut with maple inlay
Hi Scott,
Yes a couple of problems that I would correct.
The Harley Davidson text at the top…. I should have left the “A” with the center triangle, and the Y is not right either.
Second problem is I had some bandsaw drift with the “wing” on the right hand side and I could not go deep enough to sand it out without sanding the center logo too much and losing detail.
Third problem … I should have waited until my Osage Orange timber arrives from Bell Forrest, this is used for the eagle beak and talons.
I am happy with the inlay fit and detail.
This board is a gift for a painter that has been working at our house over the last 3 week…yep he is a Harley rider.

I can see the Y, but the A's look fine to me Ron:)
IF you hadn't mentioned it, I never would have seen the Wings.
Osage Orange....picky,Picky, PICKY ain'tcha.

NICE piece!
