I have always wanted to give v-carving into granite/slate a try.
Could you share a bit more info on the vbit you used?

For these job, I use :
Toolpath Type: V-Carve / Engraving Toolpath
Feed Rate: 4 mm/sec
Plunge Rate: 0.5 mm/sec
Spindle Speed: 18000
Pass Depth: 0.4mm
Stepover: 0.16mm
Tool Notes:
Fraise PCD Ø6x60°x0,4mm pour marbre / granit
PCD (polycrystalline diamond) engraving bit Ø6x60°x0,4mm for marble/granite

I work with water bath, the stone is under water.
The real difficulty is to check that the width of the paths is greater than 0.4mm.
