The smaller of the two follows Michael's plans and instructions without any modification. For the larger, I removed one of the "books" from the height and then doubled up the remaining ones horizontally.
The smaller is flocked inside and is an open box. The larger holds two stacked trays that contain my wife's pen collection. (In a former life, I turned pens.)
My wife did all the colouring using acrylic paints.

Re: Michael Tyler book boxes
Very nice! My son just finished his first book and is getting it published in the near future. I plan to use this as a template and make him a storage box with his cover design on the lid to fit his 1st edition copy.

Excellent, Grant! I love how you customized the modified version! Nice colors and finish, too!wilkigr wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 8:34 pmThe smaller of the two follows Michael's plans and instructions without any modification.
