Re: My Basse with VCarve
Good evening.
Wow, that’s beautiful.
I would like to try guitar making, both acoustic and electric. I’m an experienced woodworker I’ve spent a lot of time studying lutherie off/on for a few years. I have a couple books, I’ve watched a lot of videos. I planned for 2020 to be the year of making my first acoustic, but some other important things changed my plan for that year. Still on my short list. Perhaps I will begin later this year.
Any advice?
Thx, rink

And it comes out so naturally that it feels like you already knew how to do it.

Re: My Basse with VCarve
Alex,
I don't play, BUT that's one of the most visually appealing guitars to me I've seen!!
With your sanding/shaping, as mentioned above, the first thought was "Organic"
Very interested in how you did this feature? Do you have any pics of that stage?
I "Think" I know how you did it, but a picture or explanation would be appreciated.
Might help me with some of my slabs and found woods(?).
BEAUTIFUL craftsmanship!!

I have some pictures of the process.
But to learn how to do it on Vcarve it's a little tricky to go here unless I made a series of posts or video, I don't know.
I have some videos where I teach some things on my youtube channel:
www.youtube.com/nbsdesign3dcncguitars
Woods There are several stores that sell wood for guitars and in the USA it is easier to find the best quality and best price.
Attached are more 2 basses I did also with VCarve and another 3d

I tried that link in Firefox and Edge and kept getting a Youtube 404 "Not Found"
Thanks again Alex!
