Branding irons

Post by Skarsaune »

Used vectric vcarve to machine brass branding irons. I then machined them to fit my wood burning tool.
A couple of test pieces....

One is for products from our farm, one is for guitars that I build. Really happy with how they turned out.

It takes a little practice to get temperature and time correct for different woods. I thought it was worth making a list by materials that I use.

Good job on that machining. +1

I hadn't machined brass on this little CNC router before. I've machined it on any number of other machines though (ie, regular industrial size machine shop stuff). I was well pleased with the detail.
