Olivewood 1911 grips

Post by wb9tpg »

I got some shop time today and finished 2 sets of Olivewood (Olive wood) grips today. It's twice as hard as oak and cuts like a dream.

That set had Formbys Tung Oil and then lacquer but I'm switching to Natural Danish Oil as I think it will make the grain pop better

I have 2 more sets of these to apply finish to and I'm waiting on my shipment of Watco Natural Danish Oil to arrive for that, I'm hoping for even better results than the Formby's
