Very nice... I am doing a lot of resin filled V Carves at the moment.
What depth of cut are you using and bit?

Re: Epoxy emblem for Son-in-law
Thanks all. It's 10 1/2 inches round Scott. It was still wet when I took the pic I think is why it came out blurry, trying to keep the glare off it. Its cut 1/8 deep with a 60 degree v-bit. The red in the date's was filled like the rest, but when it dried it wasn't filled. I mixed a little more and did it again but still didn't fill. It really does look OK to a normal person, but I guess I'm still wanting to be a perfectionist.

Suggestion: coat the carve with a thin coat of 5 minute clear epoxy to seal the area being filled, use hot glue or silicon sealant to make a dam around the area being filled, overfill with resin the dam will prevent the resin leaking out. Then will cured flush cut the the area leaving enough for final sanding.
Works for me.

I don't understand why it didn't either. I have done quite a few epoxy inlays the past month and all have worked well. Like I said it isn't very noticeable, and it will do.
