Totoro in Cherry.

Frame and panel cut as separate jobs. Both were 2 sided as the frame has a panel rabbit cut in back and the panel was engraved with an inscription on the back for my daughter who recently turned 20. We watched all the Studio Ghibli movies together as she grew up.

Panel is a 30* dome with the V carving projected to the 3D model. Frame was cut using the moulding toolpath.

Began as a bitmap and then traced and edited. That part of the process is so time consuming but rather relaxing and I like the results.

Really nice project. As Siskel and Ebert used to say in a review; "Two thumbs up." :)

Beautiful work!!! I love the way cherry carves - I wish I had some large pieces of it!

It's funny that the preview doesn't do justice to it like yours in cherry and the frame. Nice and clean. Thank you.

Nice clean cut and arrangement Joe!
Pleasing combo to the eye(except for the critters themselves :) :) )
Well Done.

Thank you for the kind comments. First time with cherry on the cnc and I was very pleased with how well it carved and held the small details.

Poor "rabbits"...always being cut and butchered by woodworkers.

Very nice piece of work. I Love to carve cherry, it holds very good detail for me. Great job.
