Golf trophies

Post by csbrads »

These are some golf trophies I made from the D&M Models. The corian background I used was a a dull black, I wish it had been more shiny and a deeper black. Anyway, they turned out ok and I learned a lot making them.

Excellent work.
Corian is great stuff to work with isn't it?

I had a project a while back on which I used Corian similar to yours. I use a polishing/buffing paste that I make from mineral oil, bees wax and diatomaceous earth (food grade). It does a great job of making things shine and helps to remove small scratches. I typically would use it with a random orbiting sander which has a microfiber cloth on the pad for polishing. You can buy the polishing/buffing paste under different names but I use so much that it's easier on my budget to make it. Also, I share with my son who does wood turning and such.

I haven't golfed in years. Your trophies reminds me of the good times I had doing it even though I'm really bad at it. Thank you for sharing.

I have sprayed some of my corian projects with spar urethane. It comes in gloss and semi gloss. I usually use the semi gloss because the gloss is sometimes too glossy.
