1st PVC carvings

Post by gad5264 »

Last week, I did my first PVC carvings. The PVC came from Home Depot. I used a 1/16" O-flute bit for the text area details and the rest of the cuts and profile were made with a 1/8" O-flute. The two pieces standing up are 1/2" and they will be cemented back to back and placed on a rotating table center piece. The other pieces will be table place mats for an upcoming dinner. The buyer is painting them the RI colors. My thoughts after my first cuts with PVC, well lets just say they wont be my last..."like butter"Image

My local Home Depot has 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4" sheets of 2'x4' The price on the 1/4" is $14.97 a sheet and the others go up about $4 a sheet.

Here is the SKU information for the PVC sheets at HD and also the bits I used.
