Carved this yesterday. Lots of detain, and Lots of time. Came out better than I assumed , considering its a cheap STL file. Will stain, finish, glaze and clear coat. Will make a frame to border it. Just came off machine, need to clean up fuzzies. Be nice now, guys !!

Made a walnut frame, something simple. Glazed with a slightly darker color, didn't want it to darken real bad. Two coats of clear and will be done.

Re: Tall ship and lighthouse
Hi, nice job, I also have that pattern. I haven't cut it out yet but I have one question and one comment.
What bit did you use to do the finishing cut? I don't know if I should use a a tapered 1/8 inch bit or a tapered 1/16 inch bit.
My comment is that I am going to use clipping to remove the picture frame. I plan on making my own frame or leave it without a frame depending on how it turns out.

Wow,Dave, that turned out really well. The glazing was an excellent choice as it really makes the image pop.
