Portland Head Light, Maine
I did this on a scrap piece of pine because I didn’t think it was going to turn out well. Bad choice of wood . Detail came out way better than I thought it would but took forever to carve. Used photoshop to pull the outlines from an actual picture i took from a trip to Maine last year and imported to Vectric. Whole bunch of vector fixin though. Sadly, I got too deep with the lettering and it is not as sharp as I would have liked.

I think the carve looks pretty good! I would not be disappointed, I would correct the depth on the lettering and carve it in maple !
Good job IMO !

Great job.
I like how you added in some gulls.

That came out very well!
In PhotoShop, did you posterize and/or adjust contrast settings of the photo? Did you then import the image and use Vectric’s Trace Bitmap feature?
I’m sure a lot of folks will be interested in your process, so they can achieve similar results.

That turned out great and the grain in the pine gives the sky a pretty cool effect.

I have to agree the white grain of the pine looks like clouds and weather
moving in on the water and the yellow gives the impression the sun is
shining through the clouds really nice carve.
