Marvel Calendar Black

Post by Phil »

I was very impressed with the Marvel Calendar that Gary made. My grandkids are big Marvel fans so I made one in black. They love it. My 11 year old grandson was yelling at his 5 year old sister to "put it down, don't drop it".
Thanks to Gary for posting his calendar. :)

Thanks, Bob. The original designer of the Marvel Aztec calendar was Sandy Egg CNC who has generously made the files available at no charge (for non commercial use).

https://sandyeggo.com/project/marvel-character-disc/

Quote from Sandy's web page; "I was inspired by the Star Wars Azteca design by David Gonzalez (@nopal62) and decided to create my own version but with Marvel characters."

David Gonzalez has made his Star Wars Azteca design available free as well.

Found that this file was huge (600 inch diameter) and when checking it with the Vector Validator it found problem areas.
I resized the diameter to 12 inches and corrected all the problem vectors that the vector validator found.

Here is my link to the resized corrected .dxf file

Here is a link to Dropbox for the Marvel calendar file. This is a 12" diameter circle. It is usually advised to create your own cut files.
I checked the original file which was 48" diameter with the vector validator and made the necessary fixes.

Hello Phil & All,
Is a .2" depth of cut in MDF with a 60 degree v-bit sufficient for detail? The preview looks good, but figured I'd ask. Also, is that just satin black spray paint? Thank you.
Eric
