The power of NESTING

Post by SekA »

I cannot imagine how I would be able to stack all these pieces on balsa plates by hand.
Many thanks to Vectric for this powerful function.

Playing with spacing settings enabled me to save 1 Balsa plank.
Couple tries were enough to finish the job.

Pure joy. It is not about saving material that much as it is about the feeling of victory ;-)
I can do it, ha ha.

Regards Aleksander

I agree, it would be difficult to place each of those pieces by hand.
Thanks,
Jim

I primarily use VCarve for building pony walls, or countertops and the nesting feature saves me a TREMENDOUS amount of time, and setting up a toolpath template that processes toolpath based on my AutoCAD layers makes it incredibly fast, easy, and always works the same for every job.

VCarve is a great program for our business, and just learning a few of the basic functions have saved so much time. My boss was very pleased when I researched and set up the toolpath template for the first time I have the forum to thank for helping get things up and running smoothly and efficiently.
