#D Map of the USA

I am always impressed at the skill and knowledge of those on this forum and I wanted to ask if anyone can help me.
I am wanting to create a US map that has all of the states, including Hawaii and Alaska, as separate pieces as in a puzzle.
The more detail the better.
I am more then willing to pay for any files that I could get for this.
I am interested in anything that will help me get this thing together and be something that would really look good.

You will need to be a little careful as to much detail can easily spoil a project. One idea might be to have the outline of each state as each piece of the puzzle & then a single 3d model of something that state is well known for carved.
Lots of different ways you could go with a project like this

Here's one I made a bit ago, worked well for me. Use offset to create the right gap depending on the size of map you are making.

sawmillsam, if the OP is using vcarve then they won't be able to open a .crv3d file, if the file doesn't contain any 3d components you can export it from Aspire as a .crv file which they would be able to open.

If it does contain 3d components it will still save as a crv file but the 3d components will be deleted from the file.

Just a note on those files, at the scale I made it (about 18" wide) I had to conglomerate some of those little tiny eastern seaboard states, and note the little line marking the upper peninsula of Michigan - I kept that with Wisconsin. In hindsight I would have made some of the Great Lakes in blue to have it make more sense. Here's a photo of my hurried attempt to try and help my fifth grader learn states and capitols.
