Thanks for the information Andy. You did a great job with the design and fabrication of the stool. One more question if you don't mind, what wood did you use? If I build the stool, I'm thinking of maple, since I do a lot of maple work.

Nice job and a great project. I see it's featured as a "Partner Project" In this months Vectric newsletter. Congratulations on that too.

Frank, we have made 2 of these meditation benches, both, including the one pictured here, in cherry. I imagine Maple would work fine.
