Dale,
I decided to try making my own wheels. I used oak, but I think I'll use a more dense wood like maple next time.

Dale,
Here's one of the many I've made for my grandsons. Thank you so much again.
You inspired me to make mag wheels using Aspire and I've posted an example in that section.

Wow, those wheels are really cheap. Thanks for posting the link. I better order some wheels and make some cars.

I use 11/32" axle pegs.

Don't forget to look in the Aspire Gallery for answers. I sometimes forget to look at the V-carve section and you will often see the same questions there.

You got me hooked on the darn things!

That's the reason I created the CRAGAR mag wheel.
I just designed a VW Beetle but haven't tried carving it out yet. When I do if it looks promising I'll post that file as well.

I had trouble finding 2inch wheels in the UK that were narrow enough for the metric stock timbers. So I created some simple wheels that use 15mm strip wood and 9mm dowel for the axles.

Wheels can be found at a reasonable price at:
http://www.caseyswood.com/shoppingcart/ ... ath=220_22
Or make your own, see my recent post Toy Car Wheels
or a couple of others in the Aspire gallery, one by Angie.
