Wow - beautiful design!
But are you sure that's maple?
Looks like oak stained with GF Rosewood.
Regardless... it certainly makes a statement!

I think it's maple but you maybe right :)
I stained with GF rosewood water-base i love that stain.

GF Rosewood -- I do too much of it every year to not recognize that! (I'm a professional furniture finisher. ;-)
And yes, I do believe that's oak... I see the cathedral grain.

What a beautiful pattern though.. is this for your kitchen?
